Guidance in Integrated Research
[Course goals]
During a critical review committee and research presentation meeting in which the Doctoral Degree Course supervising instructor and all students must participate, a connection will be made between creation and theory, with the goal of the acquisition of a comprehensive way of seeing things that prevents one from analyzing things through the perspective of just one individual field.
1) Works and theses will be debated (students will also participate in these debates) based on differing points of view instructors from diverse specialized fields.
2) Amid the debates between students and instructors from other fields, mutual understanding will be deepened, and the objective will be to acquire a broad perspective that does not dogmatically follow the ideas of one individual field.
3) An opportunity to develop an objective understanding of one’s own works and theses will be provided, and by providing diverse stimuli, the improvement of the desire to pursue one’s studies will be advanced.
4) Developmental debate and critical methodologies will be acquired in a lively setting.
[Course Development Plans]
About five times every year, critical review committees and research presentations in which works are presented and instructors and all students will participate will be held, and debates will be conducted there.
