Team J.A.M.- Building Light for Life
Post-Midterm Statement of Intent:
A window screen (shoji screen)/ room divider/ fort/ lantern/ endless possibilities... A product that is brought to a home in a (or a number of) flat sheet(s) with perforated marks and shapes to either be folded or popped out, and built for the desired use. It contains embedded LED's and solar cells that power the LED's in the absence of light.

Metaphor for the Quality of Light:
Through the reminder of lost natural beauty one will be inspired to reclaim the beauty that could still potentially be there. The final product is inspired by the sky, during the day it depends on the sun to charge and at night it glistens in a way that is a mere hint at the wonder that can be found in a starry sky.

Team Definition of Sustainability:
The flat single sheet packing cuts the transportation down to a minimum and the dynamic modularity puts the product capability at a maximum. The simple manufacturing keeps down emissions, production time, and energy to a minimum. Utilizing recycled and refuse materials support the environmental responsibility message of the product.
